Transform Your Smile With Veneers
When you look in the mirror, are you pleased with your smile? Or are there a few areas you’d like to improve? Veneers can help you achieve a picture-perfect smile that you’ll want to show off again and again. Unlike orthodontic procedures that take years to complete, the veneers treatment can transform your smile in just two appointments.
Dental veneers are tooth-colored shells that are placed on the front surfaces of your teeth to conceal a variety of cosmetic imperfections. Veneers are made from porcelain or a composite resin that blends seamlessly with your smile. They can improve the shape, size, color, or length of your teeth to achieve flawless results.
Veneers can give you the confidence to smile for years to come.
The Benefits of Veneers
Veneers can disguise a variety of dental imperfections, including:
- Cracked or chipped teeth
- Gapped teeth
- Crooked or misaligned teeth
- Discolored teeth
- Uneven teeth
- Misshapen teeth
The Journey to a Flawless Smile With Veneers
Your new smile is completely customizable to meet your needs. You can pick the color and shape of your new teeth, and if you’d like, Dr. Hatch can provide some guidance. The process of getting veneers is simple and can typically be completed in two appointments.
During your initial consultation, Dr. Hatch will examine your oral health to ensure you’re an ideal candidate for veneers. Prior to beginning, he’ll numb your gums so you’ll be pain-free throughout the procedure.
Within five steps, your smile will be good as new, or better:
- Enamel will be prepped to create a surface for the veneers to bond with.
- A mold will be taken and sent to a lab where your new veneers will be customized just for you.
- Once your veneers are crafted, they’ll be applied, adjusted, and cemented in place.
- Excess cement will be removed and any final adjustments will be made.
- You’ll leave our office with your new flawless smile!
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the veneers procedure painful?
No, you’ll be numb throughout the treatment and won’t feel a thing. If you’re anxious or have a low pain tolerance, we offer sedation so you’ll feel comfortable during the procedure. Otherwise, the treatment is minimally invasive with a quick recovery. If you experience any discomfort following your veneers treatment, we recommend taking pain relievers such as ibuprofen.
How long do veneers last?
With proper care, porcelain veneers can last 10 to 15 years, or even longer. Daily brushing and flossing paired with regular checkups at Arizona Dental Heights will help extend the life of your veneers.
In addition to scheduling regular checkups and professional cleanings at our office, there are a few ways you can improve the lifespan of your veneers, including:
- Address any issues with teeth grinding
- Avoid smoking
- Refrain from eating food and beverages that are known to stain
- Brush twice a day, floss daily, and rinse between meals
During your checkups, we’ll examine your oral health and the condition of your veneers. If it’s necessary, we may also recommend a new set.
Does dental insurance cover veneers?
Dental insurance typically doesn’t cover veneers because it’s considered a cosmetic procedure. We recommend contacting your provider prior to your appointment for a better understanding of your coverage.
For your convenience, we offer a number of flexible financing options to make your care as affordable as possible. That way, you don’t have to wait to get the smile you deserve. If there are any questions we can answer, don’t hesitate to contact our Mesa office by calling (480) 525-6000 and a knowledgeable team member will be happy to assist you.
What if my veneer falls off or is damaged?
If your veneer falls off or becomes damaged, please call our office right away, and we’ll schedule you an appointment at your earliest convenience. You’ll want to keep the veneer in a protected case and bring it to our office. Dr. Hatch can fix or recommend a new one, even if we didn’t originally place your veneers.
Do veneers work for crooked teeth?
If your teeth are slightly crooked or misaligned, veneers can help improve their appearance. They can be placed on the front surface of your teeth to fill in the gaps and create the straight smile you desire. If you suffer from severe alignment issues, Dr. Hatch may recommend an alternative treatment. This can all be discussed during your consultation.
Are there any aftercare instructions following veneers treatment?
Following your veneers treatment, you’ll want to slowly incorporate new foods into your diet as you adjust to your new smile. After a few weeks, you can enjoy the foods you love without any restrictions unless specified by our dentist.
With proper care, porcelain veneers can last 15 years or longer. To get the most out of your treatment, we recommend following a few guidelines, including:
- Avoid biting into hard foods such as carrots and apples
- Refrain from consuming foods and beverages that are known to cause staining such as red wine and coffee
- Brush your teeth twice a day, floss daily, and rinse between meals
- Address any issues with teeth grinding
- Don’t use your teeth as tools
- Wear a mouthguard
In addition to following our guidelines, you’ll also want to schedule biannual visits at our Mesa location so we can examine your oral health and the integrity of your veneers.
